After I did surf lessons the other day, a group of girls and I started talking.... We decided that surf lessons would be a great girls trip.
Some caught on quicker than others, but we all had a blast.
In between our surf lessons we walked around the area, watched dolphins, took pictures, and learned how to throw a boom-a-rang. This day would be a perfect girls day for any group of girls. The boys at Australian Surfing Adventures really know how to take care of everyone.
Ameilia even went all out and got us a two bedroom apartment for the weekend.
I can not talk enough about how much I am going to miss my group of friends here. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful group of tight friends. When we talked about moving to Australia I never thought Australia would be home, but that exactly what it has been for the past two years, because of my friends. I feel like moving half way around the world really makes you rely on your friends, but I can not imagine doing life over here without them. I love the coffee picture below. We are all so different, but so the same. Hence, a latte, cappuccino, long black, and skinny latte, but they are all so much alike, coffee.
For almost the past year this group of friends have been meeting every Wednesday night for a Bible book study. We have been doing a Jen Hatmaker book recently. It talks about fellowship with others and how you can't force close friendships. I am so happy to have formed my "small group" with people not only from my church, but with Christians I have met in random places.
No matter what life throws (jobs, location, family) at us I know we all will stand up while having fun with each other. Do you have a group of friends who have become family?
