Last weekend we had friends of ours while we were in Australia come visit. We all left Brisbane around the same time, and we had extra room in our shipment so they put a couple things in our shipment, and came down to get their stuff, see us, and have a babymoon. We had so much fun showing our friends around in our new life.
They flew in Friday evening. We met them on the beach with our favorite food in Melbourne, Seafood Station. It is the best seafood to grab, head to the beach, and have a picnic. Think butter, garlic, and seafood, cant go wrong. After we had dinner we grabbed some decaf coffee, headed to the beach and just talked and laughed for a while, before heading back to Palm Bay. The other day I was in desperate need to just stop running around and get back into books. One of my first friends I met here, we actually started talking because I said I had just moved here from Australia and she told me about one of her favorite authors who was Australian. We both loved the same author and had an instant connection, I actually have two of her books on this post. Anyway, she posted on Facebook asking for book recommendations, I decided to follow along and buy a couple of the books. Some were books that would have caught my eye anyway, while others I would have never picked up.
It is just wedding season at this point. Josh's brother, Jake got married recently. Jake and Jenn came to visit us in Australia two Decembers ago. They had recently gotten back together, and I guess going overseas with someone helps you know, "they are the one." Quickly after they got back to America from their visit, Jake, "put a ring on it." I met Josh through meeting Jake at church group called the "Tweeners" (worst name ever). We were in between college and getting married, and if we didn't stick out enough, they called us a funny name. HA! So Jake and I have always been pretty close.
Josh and I really didn't want to miss the wedding, but we couldn't miss work. So Josh tried to fly out Thursday evening, but Atlanta airport had a different plan. He ended up flying out Friday morning first flight of the day, and I flew out Friday evening last flight of the day. |
