Wow, I am mixed with so many emotions, missing Josh, happy to be getting to see my Mom in Thailand (in a couple of hours), sad because I will no longer "live" in Australia. the happiness and gratefulness of meeting such amazing people while here, and the sadness they will no longer be my local group. Being an expat you really learn to lean on your friends like they are family. I will for sure miss my Aussie Family. If your looking for a sappy post about my experiences here, I just don't have it in me. This is all I got through the tears of joy, laughter, happiness, sadness, and every other emotion I am feeling at the moment.
When Josh and I decided it was time to move, one thing was certain, we had to figure out a place for me to stay, after we had shipped all of our things. There were some options, but after we would explore every option, Josh would always go back to, "There is this girl at work named, Di, I know yall would get along. She has offered...."
Like I said the other day, my "See You Later Tour," is just that a tour. So, I hopped on a plane and headed to Sydney, spent a little time with friends, and enjoyed one night of the 23 day light festival, Sydney Vivid.
Vivid is a light show that started in 2009, and has quickly expanded to an amazing sight. They project lights on the side of the Opera House, and the show is just awesome. We were there a while just staring in amazement.
So somehow my, "see you later tour," has turned into a lot of girls weekends. Frankly, I LOVE IT! This weekend Laura (my running partner, gym manager, and friend), Di (Josh's co-worker, my room-mate, and friend), and I all went down to Girraween, Bald Rock, Falls trail, Stanthrope for the weekend.
