First off, let me start with we have always been fans of Lone Pine.  We will still be fans, but let me apologize to everyone who we have not taken to the Australia Zoo.  Wow! You have missed out.  No, there were not as many kangaroos, but I would say they made up for it with everything else.

From the wonderful layout, the amazing animals, and wonderful people it was really great.  Yes, it is a little expensive, but I would say worth it.

Of course we started with the croc show.  I can not believe being that close to something so big and powerful.

Next we moved the the kangaroos, and amazing birds.

Then we were entertained by the amazing tiger show.  Wow, did you know they can climb trees?  Like really climb trees?  It was so neat!

The surroundings were amazing from Bindi's Treehouse to every detail all around the place.  They did not leave one detail undone.

I would say a great time was had by all.   I took Jake and Jenn (my brother in law and his partner) their first day on Australian soil.  I can not recommend it enough, if you are in Brisbane wondering what to do, stop by Australia Zoo.

I've visited lots of zoos, but it's hard to say that there was a favourite because I always feel a little sorry for the animal (no matter how well the zoo does in recreating the environment). So the best place I have seen animals is in the Masia Mara - there's nothing like seeing animals in their natural habitat.

I would love to go on an African Safari and see them in their natural habitat. I will say Australia does better than most places I have been. Lone Pine and Australia Zoo do an amazing job with conservation, saving injured animals, and helping spread information to help them. Both of the zoos are what they call hands on zoo's. Both really have a different feel than most zoos.

I've seen wallabys at Edinburgh Zoo but I'd love to see kangaroos one time! And cuddling with a koala of course!!!

I still want to hold a Koala some time, hopefully soon I will! But what wonderful photos you took, I especially love the tiger photo! Gorgeous!
