Josh and I are the world's worst at this.
When we have moved to a new town and looking for a new church.
"We don't like this, we don't like that, we can't go there for ....."
We have all done it.
I was recently reminded, this is not a new problem. I mean read,
But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food. (Source)
4 But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went. 5 Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah. 6 Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did. 7 Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city.
Even in Bible times there was things about the church that people did not like. They did not go to a different church or start a new church, they went to the leaders and tried to make it right. Can you imagine if we all did that? Can you imagine if all the churches could get along and bind together? Can you imagine the force Christians would be?
Look at that verse, when they all scattered, preached, and lived the life of Christians, there was great joy and they did many good things.
Let's unite, stop fighting, and cause great joy! He can move mountains. What are some mountains you would like him to move?
