"InFusion Cooking Class with Stephanie is a MUST when visiting the quaint Thailand Island of Samui. Stephanie picked us up at our hotel at 9:45, next picked up two other cooking students (from UK) and then we were off to a traditional fresh market. There we enjoyed coconut milk, discovered the role of herbs and spices in Thai cuisine and shopped for some specific ingredients needed for our class. One, her Thai assistant, joined us at the market. Stephanie blended her professional cooking skills, French background, and love for the Thai people and their food in a personable way. She was able to keep it real by explaining the Thai recipes and adapting them to ingredients we would be able to buy once back home.
We were treated to fresh mango (just purchased at the market) shakes as One and Stephanie readied the kitchen for class. Once class began we created a beautiful three course meal: Cucumber Soup, Green Curry with vegetables, chicken and prawns served over brown organic rice, and a custard dessert EmilyAnne likened to a buttermilk pie.
The intimate setting for this cooking workshop made the total experience a gem. She graciously adapted our recipes to "low sodium". I look forward following her on her website.
Oh how my life has been blessed. Thirty-two years ago a precious little girl came into my life. As I was learning to can and freeze fresh vegetables from local gardens in south Arkansas my bundle of joy crawled around and played with pots, pans, Tupperware and spoons. Today we enjoyed a cooking class together in a country half way around the world. Our world has gotten smaller as we have explored together. We continue MAKIN' MEMORIES and thanking God for his blessings."
I am loving letting Mamma take over and hear Thailand through her eyes!
