The only town we visited in the middle of Tassie was Launceston. It was packed with things to do while still giving off a real relaxing vibe. Close to the town is a lavender farm, canopy tour, aquarium, and an eating trail. When we got there, I had read a lot about the Cataract Gorge, so we headed there first. This little area was picturesque. It had a chairlift, pond, creek, swinging bridge, hiking trails, pool, playground, and restaurant. I mean come on, what more could you want?
After we walked around the gorge for a bit, we headed back to the town area. We walked around the town for a good bit, trying to find a place that served an early supper, seeing how we had skipped lunch and were starving. Needless to say, we explored fast, because we were all a little "Hangery". (For the record, we ended up heading back to our hotel, and begging them to cook for us).
The next morning before leaving town we had one more gander around town to admire the sights and to socialize with the locals. We found the cutest park.
When walking around one of the city parks, we happened upon an area where they had monkeys. Look at the monkey on the left, it is almost making the face I always make for pictures! He has half of it down, still needs to work on the bottom half of his lips.
Have you ever explored a city really fast? What is a story about you being "Hangery"
