As we were evacuating I decided to take a couple of pictures of our rent house for documentation purposes, but hey why not share them. I finally have a little bit of time to blog.
After cleaning out and having to restart, most things in our house do not really "go" they are more just pieces that mean a lot to us. The pictures by the door I bought from a street vendor in Italy when I was in school. The big picture of the bridge, Martha painted. Martha and I went to Italy together when I graduated college, I was 22, she was 72. The rocking chair my PawPaw and I made, the table my Pawpaw made.
The couch we had in Australia. We didn't ship it back, but it was one thing we bought agin from IKEA. It is so comfortable and great.
We like to collect crosses on every trip we have been on together. It is something fun to do, but it also is a great way to display our memories.
The door is from "Grandpa's" (mom's neighbor who became family) farm. The stool was GrandVol's but I painted it red. He had it gold.
The dry sink Mawmaw and GrandVol gave me when I was a kid so I could have an antique. The bed and side table my Pawpaw and I built. The picture beside the bed is a statue at the Clinton library, Dad bought it on our wedding weekend.
The rakes are "Grandpa's" and Grandvol's. The cork board Aunt Becky made from our trip to San Francisco, (no we did not drink them all, I asked different wine places for extras they had)
The bedding, my Conway running family help me put it together.
Every house Josh and I have lived in together. I am not sure I have an outside picture of this house.....oops Didn't really plan on a Cat 4, direct hit, hurricane heading our way.
Our family "motto" we made up on our Honeymoon. Now, I guess we will just wait and see what is still there after the hit. We will have to be patient to see how kind Matthew really is. So glad I took these pictures and gave you a walk through.
