Well folks.... as you have all see our lives are nothing normal, so we decided to step out of our comfort zone once more. By the look of the pictures you can see the whole packing thing is getting to be a breeze by now. None the less it is always hard to sort through the "treasures" that one collects over time. This time, we did not have a garage sale like last time. I listed stuff on Gumtree (like Craigslist) and did all the bargaining that way. It actually was fun, we met some interesting people, and got rid of everything we wanted to.
This time we decided to do a sea shipment since, I was going to be here for eight more weeks, and Josh really doesn't know where we are going. In case anyone is wanting to move their belongings overseas let me tell you the nitty gritty. Since we decided to send it by sea, we could take a lot more home than we brought. At first I made a very short list of all the things we wanted to take home, honestly about 1.5 squared meters. They quoted us 3.5 squared meters, so we decided, if we wanted it, take it home. Of course the moving company quoted us one price, looked at it, said we were in our measurements, and then when it got packed up, ended up costing us 1,000 more. The entire time they were packing we offered to put everything in bags, but were assured we were well within our measurements. Once they got to their place, we were a full square meter over. We used OSS they were the best company to work with getting the quotes, but just be ready for all the added extras once they pick your stuff up. Hopefully, our last bill will be it, and our stuff will get there.
As soon as our stuff left, our friends came over to have one last gathering in the unit, see if anyone wanted anything, and just laugh together. We truly were blessed with amazing friends in Brisbane.
As soon as we turned our keys in, I had already gotten us an Airbnb, on the Sunshine coast for the weekend. We traded the above view for the below view. Queensland is full of such amazing views.
Each time we move, I feel like parts get easier, like packing, but parts keep getting harder and harder also, like saying goodbyes. I hate telling anyone goodbye. Is there anything you hate doing, that honestly you have to do all the time?
