Melboune is a city we have heard a lot about, and from most Australian's, "it is their favorite city." I quickly could see why. It is the hidden treasures that make a city unique and the people who make it a place worth living in or visiting. Melbourne is full of hiddent treasures around every corner.
Josh and I met up with one of his coworkers Bowi, who helped us navigate the city to see the main sights and some not so tourist places. To my other friends in Melbourne, we will be back. We were there literally seven hours, and saw enough just to make us want more.
Taking in the sights and sounds of Melbourne was one of the most interesting cities in Australia. At times we were even greeted by a local as seen below. It was really neat to see them not in a cage, just out living.
As we came back to the city from The Great Ocean Drive and into the city, one thing we wanted to see was the iconic graffiti art down an alley in the city. As you can see this is no normal graffiti art, but rather a work of art in itself that changes every day with the artist working over night and some times you may see them out during the day. There was one out painting while we were walking around.
Tired and tuckered out, we finished our trip on the free city circle on the tram. It takes you around the city in an old city tram to take in the city sites and saves you from having to walk around. Plus you get a chance to talk with other tourist taking in the sites. Can't wait to go to Melbourne and explore more. What is one city you have visited that still had the old trams running?
