The average person checks their phone over 200 times in a day. Stop, let that soak in. Are you guilty?
How much space do you have in your life?
Are you leaving spaces in your life for things that come up to help others?
Is there space in your life to stop and listen to God?
Is there space to recharge?
Do you live your life going from meeting to meeting, school to workout?
There are many good things to say yes to, but how often do you say no?
It is ok to say no, quiet time is ok.
I feel like we all need to hear that.
Quiet time is OK.
Let me say it again, quiet time, is OK!
Do you ever just stop and listen?
Moses had a cleft in the mountain. (Exodus 33:13-22)
We all have to find our own place with God.
It is not one fit size fits all.
Where is your cleft in the rock?
Where is your time with God?
Do you have time with God?
FOMO (fear of missing out) makes us run around like a chicken with our head cut off. FOMO makes us not have quiet.
Silence is ok.
Now, those who know me know this post is totally speaking to me. This was discussed in church the other day, and it spoke to me. I hate quiet. I do not like silence, but I know I need it.
I know this is something I need to work on.
I need to know silence is ok, quiet time is ok,
God still speaks.
Hopefully this speaks to someone else.
Can you imagine what FOMO has made us miss out with God?
In the grand scheme of things God is all that matters.
We want to spend eternity with him, isn't it time we give him some space now?
So, where is your cleft?
I know everyone listens to God differently.
